Here are some of our cats that live out on the property.  To see them, you have to come out first thing in the morning, when they are expecting to be fed, or very late in the evening.  During the heat of the day, they are finding a spot to nap!  Our shelter used to be in the middle of cane fields, so cats have been "dumped" during the night for many years.  In recent years, a serious spay/neuter effort has decreased the number of kittens born out on our grounds down to zero! We are very proud of our efforts in trapping, spay/neuter and releasing them to live out their lives with us.  Development of housing is creeping in on us every day, and plans for a safe outdoor cat enclosure is in our future.  We do provide lots of shelter (dog gloos with hay, etc.), food, water and medical care to ensure they are happy and healthy.

Our Big Boy wondering what happened to his house.

Beautiful Jessica checking things out.

Chedder and Bullseye Momma finding a place to rest on Ms. Sandy's horse trailer.

Another new little boy.. trying to earn his trust so we don't have to trap him for neuter.. getting close!
WE DO LOVE OUR WILD KITTIES!  THEY DESERVE TO LIVE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER.  WE HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE TO SPAY/NEUTER SO NO KITTENS ARE BORN.  YOU MIGHT SEE SOME ROUND BELLIES ON THESE CATS, BUT IT'S ALL DUE TO BEING FED WELL AND CARED FOR!  THEY DECIDE WHEN WE GET TO SEE THEM, PET THEM AND ENJOY THEIR COMPANY, AND THAT'S ALRIGHT WITH US!
A "new edition".  He's getting very nice and may be able to be adopted after all.  Neuter is in his very near future!!

Oliver, again, ready to bust a move!

We call her our "Black face Tortie".  I feel very lucky to have gotten this beautiful picture of her!

What a gorgeous strut on this tabby!

She gave me one of my proudest moments.  Jessica was quite a challenge to catch, and she was extremely pregnant when she was dumped out here.  The day after I caught her, she delivered kittens!  She is now spayed, and will never go through that again!!

Tortie girl coming to tell us all about it!  She's a little less shy than most.
