Volunteering

There are many ways to volunteer!
 

We are open 7 days a week, including holidays,
as daily care of our residents is our top priority. 
 

Shelter hours are:
Sunday - Wednesday, 8:30a.m. - 12:00p.m.
Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 8:30am - 4p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering at our fund raising events,
please email dayperry@yahoo.com to be added to our list!
For each event that we do, we form committees.
You can receive notices of meetings,
and updates of what is needed for the event.

Guidelines for Volunteering
At the Shelter

Anyone 15 years or younger,
must be accompanied by an adult
who can work along side with them.

Volunteers under 15 can work up to 4 hours per day,
2 days per week maximum.
*Exceptions are made for school & church service hours
(which are generally completed in one day),
and community service hours that are court appointed.
 

Mornings at the shelter are for cleaning & feeding
Every day, 8:30 - 12noon.
You do not need to call before you come!

If you would like to come by for socializing with our residents,
we certainly welcome you to do that!
Visiting days and times are:
Thursday - Saturday, 12noon - 4pm.

so we can schedule a visit!

Bring drinks and snacks if you'd like.
We do have a refrigerator and microwave - no vending machine
Wear old clothing, and closed toe shoes.
